WHAT IS A WAR CRIMINAL?
Is Putin a war criminal? Legally he has to appear in the International Criminal Court in the Netherlands (or some other court to be tried) to be convicted. “However, the ICC does not conduct trials in absentia, so he would either have to be handed over by Russia or arrested outside of Russia. That seems unlikely.» See https://edition.cnn.com/2022/03/21/politics/putin-war-criminal-ukraine-russia-what-matters/index.html
The former president of USA and quite a few other persons were convicted as war criminals in Malaysia. However, they have to go to Malaysia to be arrested, which they will not do. See https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/politics/news/a35397/bush-cheney-war-crimes/
The future is bright for most “war criminals”, but bleak for those who pay, will pay, the price for the actions of these people.
